R.M. Chin team members along with design team Ghafari Associates and general contractor W.E. O’Neil Construction accepted the Engineering News Record – Best Projects Award of Merit for American Airlines Hangar II at O’Hare International Airport.

The new 194,000 SF facility was unveiled at a grand opening ceremony nearly a year ago and is supported by 7,000 tons of steel, making it the longest span, dual-entry airline hangar in the world. The state-of-the-art facility spans over 480 feet and houses 6 narrow body or 2 wide body aircraft.
