CMAA awards group photoToday, R.M. Chin & Associates, Inc. (R.M. Chin) received a Project Achievement Award from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) Chicago Chapter for our role as Program Manager/Owner’s Representative on the Forest Preserve District of Cook County (FPDCC)’s 3-year, $28.4 million Campground Program. Nominated projects for this first annual awards competition to recognize outstanding achievement in the practice of construction management were completed between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2015. R.M. Chin was recognized in the Program Management – Buildings category for administering the complete design and construction of 5 new campgrounds.

The FPDCC’s Campground Program was a first-of-its-kind for the agency, and its immediate success is unmistakable. After opening the new campgrounds for the inaugural 2015 camping season, the FPDCC received reservations from more than 15,000 patrons and campers. Over 4,500 campers have booked campgrounds so far in 2016.

“We’re honored to be one of the firms selected for the CMAA Project Achievement Awards because it is a testament of our team’s discipline and hard work. Each one of the new sites had unique scope and programming requirements, and we tackled each task with the same level of expertise and enthusiasm. It was truly a great project to manage,” said R.M. Chin President Eileen Chin.
