On May 20th, R.M. Chin’s Sarah Mora, Jose Romo, and Paul Sefcovic traveled to Champaign to wrap up Illinois Center for Transportation Module III of the EROSION & SEDIMENT CONTROL WORKSHOP.
Jose, Paul, and Sarah all started in May 2018 with Module I and throughout the year, each of them completed Module II.
Module III: Inspection of Erosion and Sediment Control Best Management Practices (BMPS) focused on Regulatory Requirements for ILR40 and ILR10 Compliance, Identifying Correct Installation and Maintenance of Storm Water BMPs, BMP Maintenance Requirements, and Erosion and Sediment Control Field Guide for Construction Inspection. The class consisted of mostly classroom work with a short trip to the field in the afternoon.
These modules are designed for Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) contractors, inspectors, designers, and others interested in erosion and sediment control and storm water management best practices for a sustainable environment. Congratulations to these three for finishing the program!
