On November 7th, R.M. Chin’s Mike Levar had the opportunity to present on engineering in construction to the Engineering Club at IC Catholic Prep (ICCP) in Elmhurst. Mike provided the students with real-world input on the engineering and construction of bridges. He explained the key roles of material science and structural mechanics involved in bridge building, specifically the new I-74 bridge being built in Iowa/Illinois Quad Cities.

ICCP commits every day to focus on giving their students the skills and values needed to succeed beyond the walls of their school. Mike’s presentation allowed the students interested in pursuing a career in engineering to ask questions, receive candid feedback, and understand how much time and effort go into massive civil engineering projects.

We are proud to see our team inspire the young members of our communities to become involved in the engineering/construction field!
