Project Update: Jane Bryne Circle Interchange

Home/Blog/Project Update: Jane Bryne Circle Interchange

The Jane Byrne Circle Interchange reconstruction continues at a steady pace, with work accelerating with warmer weather. As a subconsultant to Omega Associates, R.M. Chin’s Brittany Cook is serving as the Assistant Resident Engineer on this $67 million project located in downtown Chicago.

The interchange involves three different interstates, a restricted urban area, working around the CTA Blue Line, multiple bridges, a city water pumping station and the need to keep traffic flowing in a spot that sees 400,000 vehicles every day.

Brittany is responsible for overseeing various construction management duties including removals and reconstruction of six ramps and bridges, construction of six retaining walls, drilled shafts, and erosion control & protection. She will be performing survey layout, inspecting and carrying out reports, test records, and computations for various pay items ensuring they uphold to all IDOT standards.

Keep up the great work, Brittany!
