This month, we recognize Logan Nelson for his contribution to the growth of our Dallas/Fort Worth Office! As the first full-time employee of the Dallas/Fort Worth office, Logan’s breadth of work has significantly evolved over the last three years. “It is exciting to see the reflection of our firm, as well as myself, with the growth of the Dallas office. Initially, I served as an Airline Liaison for the Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program (TRIP) at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), focusing on the programming of airline support spaces and relocation planning. Since then, I have been working with the American Airlines Corporate Real Estate team — expanding my role to not only building interiors but also the ramp/operations side of the Airline. I also work alongside the Design/Code/Construction and Facility Maintenance departments of the Airport Authority,” stated Logan.
While being assigned to TRIP, the estimated $3.2 billion program involving the modernization of the four original DFW terminals, Logan assisted with American Airlines mainline and regional operations in Terminals A and B, as well as multiple carriers operating out of Terminal E. He also provided coordination for airline operations during their hoteling. “The most challenging portions of the moves involved ensuring flight operations were not impacted. Understanding each operator’s unique needs was imperative to keeping the airlines operating at a peak performance,” explained Logan. “The most rewarding part of the program was then seeing each airline get a new home.”
As Texas native, Logan attended Howard Payne University and moved back to the Dallas/Fort Worth nearly a decade ago. Outside of work, Logan serves as a foster parent for the Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of North Texas and shares his passion for cooking by making new dishes for friends and family.
Keep up the great work, Logan. We’re proud to have you on our team!
