Last week, Northeastern Illinois transportation agencies hosted the 19th Annual Transportation Symposium and Business Exchange (TSBE) for professional services firms, contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers interested in doing business with transit-related agencies. The symposium, held at the Chicago Cultural Center, also provided disadvantaged-, minority-, and women-owned enterprise (D/M/WBE) firms and small businesses with a platform to network with the hosting agencies – Regional Transportation Authority (RTA), Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), Metra, Pace, Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), and the Illinois Tollway – as well as prime consultants and contractors.

Angela Boyle, Program Liaison on R.M. Chin & Associates, Inc. (R.M. Chin)’s Illinois Tollway Program Management Office contract, had the opportunity to serve on the planning committee for this event. Angela served together with industry professionals from RTA, CTA, Metra, Pace, IDOT, Illinois Tollway, and Grand Events, Inc., an event management company. “It has been an honor serving on the TSBE Planning Committee and working with representatives from sister transportation agencies. The hard work and collaboration by all yielded a well-attended and successful event. I look forward to applying the lessons learned from this year’s event to an even more successful 20th Annual TSBE,” remarked Angela.

Angela is also slated to serve on the planning committee for next year’s symposium.
