The I-74 River Bridge is Making Progress! Earlier this month, the first arch segment (approximately 250,000 lbs. of steel) was successfully placed on the pier. The I-74 Mississippi River Bridge project is part of a regional strategy for improving access across the Mississippi River in the Quad Cities. Once complete, the bridge will feature wider vehicular lanes (four lanes in each direction) and a dedicated bike and pedestrian lane over the Mississippi River. R.M.
