CDA Taxiways Alpha and Bravo Relocation

R.M. Chin & Associates, Inc. (CHIN) is part of the team assembled by the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) to provide design services for the partial relocation of Taxiways Alpha and Bravo. The relocation of these taxiways is one of the initial projects of O’Hare’s Terminal Area Plan (TAP) to modernize the airport with a new global terminal and concourse as well as two satellite concourses.

Scope of Work

The project scope includes the Partial Relocation of Taxiways A and B at O’Hare International Airport. This project consists of three major elements: 1) An east-west connection between Taxiways K and L to the existing ring taxiways A and B, 2) two new north-south taxiways generally west of the terminal core, and 3) the pavement rehabilitation of Taxiways A and B, generally south of the terminal core. Additional project scope items include relocating portions of the existing service road, the pump station serving the Main cargo tunnel, and many existing utilities throughout the airfield.
