Our involvement focused on three key projects: the Taxiway LL Phase II Extension, Spine Road Relocation, and Taxiways Alpha and Bravo Rehabilitation at the O’Hare International Airport (ORD).
R.M. Chin & Associates, Inc. (CHIN) provided civil design services for the Chicago Department of Aviation to rehabilitate Runway 13C-31C and all the associated taxiways. Runway 13C-31C is one of Chicago Midway International Airport’s two primary runways and was last rehabilitated in 2014. The pavement rehabilitation included repairs and replacements, geometry improvements, grading improvements, electrical/lighting improvements, pavement markings, drainage improvements, and other miscellaneous work.
R.M. Chin & Associates, Inc. (CHIN) is the prime consultant, providing the Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways with various design engineering services. Our project managers will lead the preparation of preliminary engineering and environmental studies, design engineering plans, and specifications for roadway improvements following policies from the County and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).
R.M. Chin & Associates, Inc. (CHIN) provided civil design services for the replacement of the Engineered Material Arresting System (EMAS) at Runway 11 Departure at Worcester Regional Airport, Massachusetts.
R.M. Chin & Associates, Inc. (CHIN) is part of the team assembled by the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) to provide design services for the partial relocation of Taxiways Alpha and Bravo. The relocation of these taxiways is one of the initial projects of O’Hare’s Terminal Area Plan (TAP) to modernize the airport with a new global terminal and concourse as well as two satellite concourses.
